This is and old dairy churn that is located in a little park wedged between to business buildings in town.
Every year on the first weekend of August our town holds its annual creamery picnic. This has been an annual event since 1911. According to history the Creamery Picnic started after a fire destroyed the local creamery and the manager told the community that if they could rebuild it in 30 days then they would have a huge celebration. They completed the creamery in 39 days so he h
eld the celebration anyway with ice cream, butter and buttermilk from the creamery. Every year still the weekend is kicked off with a parade and the everyone enjoys vendors, food, and fun.
Emilee and I rode our bike down the bike path to the river and then walked along one of the trails. We went through the spooky forrest then she had a blast throwing rocks into the river. It was fun with just us girls getting away for a short bit. 
Today after breakfast we all loaded up into the van and went for a drive. We are looking forward to camping this summer and I think we might have found a place fairly close to home. It has a creek that runs alongside it and hiking trails close by. It looks a little cold right now but I bet this summer it will be just right.

We pass this Little old tire shop all the time on our walks. Today we just stopped as we drove by and snapped a photo. I was never really sure if it was still open but I guess it is. It is in an alley off of main street. Just a little ma and pop place. I love it!
