Yay! I finally figured out how to merge photos. this still not as clean as I want it to be but I took a picture of her dress for the texture background and the actual picture of her is from Halloween. She has been wearing her dress all day today so I thought it would make a good texture photo.

Candle Texture

I've had these candles for a few years and I always thought they were to cool to burn. I love the beading on them and am already thinking of how I can reuse them once the candles are no more. I was having a little fun with photo shop and added some extra texture. I am enjoying trying out the features on the program.

Texture!

I am still working with my photo shop and trying to merge photo layers. I have been pretty busy this week plus the nice weather makes it hard to sit in front of my computer and figure it out completely. I am still working on it but my time is up for today so this is what I have. The texture is from our new ceiling in our bedroom.

A Good Nights Sleep!

My husband works at Bed Bath and Beyond as a manager and informed me that he found the new bedding that he wants to put on our bed. This is our current set which we just got about six months ago. It has a nice texture and rich colors but apparently it is for winter. When we picked this out we spent about 3 hours debating sheets, duvet, drapes and everything. Arg! He is turning Martha Stewart on me. The new set he wants is really nice but pretty pricey even after his discount. Maybe we will find an alternative that we can agree on.

Pop Pop Pop!

Today I downloaded Photoshop elements 8 trial and have 30 days to figure it out and decide if I want to purchase it. This was not what I wanted to do with this picture but it is getting late and I give up for tonight. I will keep working with it tomorrow and hopefully learn some things.

Signs of Spring...

YAY!!!!!! We were finally able to go outside with out freezing or getting stuck in mud. It was still under 40 degrees when we went out but it felt great and we were excited to see some of our flowers are starting to pop up through the dirt. They are only a couple inches tall but they are there. It is going to be such a fun spring and summer because my daughter is at such a fun age. She can finally reach the petals on her tricycle! Today we talked about picnics, playing in the water, Popsicles, riding bikes. Good times!

Lights, Camera, Action!

Today's picture was taken using my cellphone while at aerobics class. It is part of the stage in the Jr high gym. This building is going supposed to be torn down this summer and a new one is going to be replaced. The Jr high and 4-6 schools are going to be rebuilt and it saddens me but I know something needs to be done. One of the buildings was built in 1901. I plan to go take a bunch of pictures once it turns nice and I have sometime alone. When I saw the scratches I knew I wanted to capture them in a photo. Years and years of history!

A bowl Full of Deliciousness!!!

Yep this was our yummy breakfast. I have discovered that I love Oatmeal squares cereal and blueberries are always a bonus. I know it sounds weird but I think blueberries are the cutest fruit and when I set the bowls on the table this morning I knew I wanted to capture their cuteness. Of course this was my daughter's second breakfast since she had already eaten peanut butter toast and a fruit leather earlier in the morning. It is nice to know her cold is not affecting her appetite.

Tree Textures...

Today I did manage to get out and take my texture picture. These are some very old trees and I like how their bark grooves are so defined. Hopefully things will slow down and I will get back on track. My dad is about the same and they are not sure why his heart is beating so fast so he is still in ICU but his spirits are up. They are trying a different heart med today and by the time I left him this evening his heart rate was starting to drop a little so hopefully there is some improvement tomorrow.

Yummy cookies!

Today we have a busy day but I am prepared with my photo already. I have a building that I want to use for my Texture Tuesday but when I made these cookies yesterday I decided to save the building for another time. So I actually took this picture yesterday when the cookies were fresh from the oven. They are banana oatmeal cookies and I love them. They have a nice fluffy, cake like texture. I don't mind having these cookies in the house because they aren't to "unhealthy" as far as cookies go. I still need to keep my hand out of the cookie jar though!

His favorite things!

My son is a total Binky and blanky baby. I love this blanket as well. It is the camo on one side and the other has this different texture to it that I love in pictures. My dad is a die hard hunting/mountain man and picked this blanket out for my son. Its a keeper for sure!
